Nerdy Werewolf

✴✾✴ ❃ ✴ ✾ ✴ ❃ ✴ ✾ ✴ The latest thespian to pop up in everything I've been watching is Jaime Murray .  While she does do movies, she tends to take on memorable, multiple-episode guest roles on popular TV shows more often than not.  I've seen her do sweet and innocent, eccentric and lovable, sinister and sexy, not to mention conniving and deranged.  She's a fun one.  I think her voice and her incredible face make her really stand out and maybe I'm not alone, eh? ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ Domhnall Gleeson.  Irish, ginger...phenomenon.  He's got this astonishingly genuine way of acting.  If he's feeling it, so are you.  He tends to play very different characters: I've seen him be a coward, a brainy guy, entirely honorable, lionharted, corrupted, desperate, moonstruck...his range is very impressive. If he's got a specific character type that he likes to portray over and over, I haven't found it.  He also switches back and forth between leading man and character actor.  What is your favorite role he's done? ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕

◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ Are you wondering who this man is, or why he looks so familiar?  I bet if you scroll through this whole post, not only will you discover that you already know him, but you're already a fan.  Clancy Brown is known for playing diabolical villains, military or the police and quirky side characters.  ...And that doesn't begin to scratch the surface of what this man has contributed to voice acting. Need a deep, threatening voice to bring a character to life in animation?  He's definitely a go-to.  That doesn't stop him from showing up in the the most random live-action things.  He does it all..and hopefully we'll just continue to be surprised and delighted when we see or hear him. ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕

◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ Dichen Lachman has this poise about her.  Whether she's playing a scared, timid thing or a controlling bitch, she's so graceful.  She's got a broad range from what I can tell and she likes to change up the type of character she plays.  Seems as if her niche is portraying important guest characters with multiple-episode storylines on TV.  She's been getting into movies again, but I've been TV-obsessed.  Do you recognize her? ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓

◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ You probably recognize Neal McDonough as either a corrupt bad guy or law enforcement.  Every now and then he'll do a straight-up 'good-guy' role and he does excellent voice work for some animation I bet you're not aware of!  Did I mention that he can do comedy, too?  The fact that he has such a broad range when it comes to character-acting means that when you see him pop up, even if it's for a minute, he's going to leave an impression.  He's one of those actors that, if I'm around people, I'll start slapping them on the arm whispering "That's Neal McDonough!!" and listing things they've seen that he's in.  It's okay to be excited about people, okay? ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕

◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ Kyle Gallner is one of those actors that is constantly popping up in whatever I'm watching.  Always just -bam!- there he is!  It's an absolute joy because once he appears or I see his name in the credits, I know I'm in for some superb acting.  The guy just always brings his A-game.  He's got that James Dean/natural thing happening. Whether he's playing the bashful charmer or the psycho-next-door, he consistently enhances the entire viewing experience.  Don't you agree? ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕

◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ Mae's one of those people that you've seen and probably appreciated without ever knowing who she actually was.  This chick is all over the place and since her role in Scott Pilgrim, she's taken on a ton of live-action comedy.  I'm always delighted when she randomly pops up in something I'm watching or I see her name in the credits.  Maybe you are, too? ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓

◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ Patrick Fugit is so interesting.  He's normally front-and-center as the main character, except it's usually in a weird little indie film that turns out to be amazing.  Every now and again he does a supporting role that is usually as memorable as the main role for whatever reason. He's not one of those actors that just takes whatever comes his way...you can tell he chooses what he wants to do and won't take anything less.  I think it makes him a better actor. ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕

◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ I had such a hard time tracking down some of these screencaps...this man is truly under-appreciated.  Lance Reddick is mostly a character actor, jumping in and out of roles that are small, but memorable, if not completely stamped into your brain.  The only thing I've seen that he did for any amount of time was Fringe and that shit was spectacular.  With any luck, we ain't seen nothin' yet. ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕
