Fascinating Fanart: Harley Quinn!
This universally adored DC villainess/anti-heroine was not born in comics, but in a 90's cartoon: Batman: The Animated Series. She was written as a supporting character for the Joker, but because of her popularity, they continued writing reasons for her to show up. Thus, a fan-following was born. She appeared in the spin-off comics for the cartoon, then in comics of her own and before you knew it, it was like she'd been a part of the universe all along. Like most Batman characters, she's had so much character development over the years and even a few new origin stories. You can now find her in DC comics, games and most cartoons. Does this sound like a love letter? I damn-well hope so.
