Fascinating Fanart: BBC's Sherlock

Image
Sherlock came back, guys.  Whether or not you're a Cumberbabe (his lady fans used to be called Cumberbitches, but they've since rebranded), this show is downright remarkable.  I say that as a fan of Elementary , as well.  Shocking...I know.  Since his creation, Sherlock Holmes is one of the most adapted characters in literature and if the two shows currently on air are anything to measure by, I hope this trend continues for a good, long while. Fascinating Fanart: Hawkman and Hawkgirl!

Image
The new spin-off show Legends of Tomorrow has just begun!  Other than seeing Rory from Doctor Who again, I'm most excited to see live-action Hawkman and Hawkgirl!  We've gotten a taste of them in the Flash/Arrow crossover, and Hawkman had a decent representation on Smallville a while back, but they're part of the main crew in this show and that is unprecedented.  If you're as thrilled as I am, maybe you'll also enjoy some of this fantastic art I found: Hawkman and Hawkgirl by Yin Yuming

Fascinating Fanart: The Boondock Saints

Image
You know the type of movie that you can watch over and over and it doesn't really matter if you can say every line because it just never gets old?  That's The Boondock Saints for me.  Has been since the very first time I saw it.  The amount of people I've introduced to this story is bordering ridiculous.  The only thing I'm disappointed about is that there isn't more Rocco or Paul Smecker fan art out there....yet.  I guess you could maybe call it one of my favorites.  Or whatever.  It's not really a big deal. veritas et aequitas by AkiMao

Fascinating Fanart: Kill Bill

Image
In honor of Quentin Tarantino's newest outing, The Hateful Eight , I thought we'd celebrate the excessively violent Kill Bill series.  People tend to love or hate his movies and I, for one, have always been a fan.  From the time-lapsing/jumping to the over-the-top gore and all of those really full-of-banter monologues, his work is one-of-a-kind and I'll watch damn near anything with his name attached. Fascinating Fanart: Downton Abbey!

Image
I can't believe Downton is finally drawing to an end!  Not just "Oh, the season's over" but forever.   I've never been able to figure out exactly what it is that makes Downton Abbey such a glorious story to be swept up in, but it IS .  The setting, the pace, the characters.  You almost feel like a voyeur  that isn't supposed to see these people's lives.  It's that good, folks.  So, in honor of six wonderful years of Downton, here's some fan art: Downton Abbey by Loish
