Nerdy Werewolf

Yay!  Psylocke!  I've been waiting for sooooo long for her to be in an X-Men movie!  And no, that five-second role in 'Last Stand' does not count.  Not by a mile.  Not only is she finally in her getup-which looks like she stepped out of the comics (see below), but we finally get to see her use a sword and Psi-Bolts (you'll see...)!  You'll notice in the fan art that sometimes she looks Asian and sometimes she doesn't.  That's because during her comic run, she had two bodies-one British and one Asian because crazy shit happens in comics!  They could dedicate an entire movie to her and we still wouldn't scratch the surface of her story so far.  So here she is in (most of) her comic forms: Psylocke by pushfighter

This is my favorite incarnation of Storm.  I love that whole covered-in-white-capes thing she did in the 90's, but not like the mohawk.  There's just something more daring about a mohawk.  Not everyone has the guts (or the face-shape) to pull it off.  When Chris Claremont turned in his design for this version of the character in the 80's, it was meant as a joke-at first.  People loved it and her character was going through some changes, so it stuck.  I think it's the most bold and memorable look on any of the X-Men yet.  I have some other favorites that we'll get to one day. This week we are celebrating comic book couples for no reason at all!  Some of these are really popular couples while some of them are just my own favorites.  I make no apologies.  If you don't see your favorite couple, let me know in the comments and I'll add them to my next superhero couple post.  Maybe we can think of some more villain couples?  The future is so hard to see. I know I normally post these on Fridays, but it's MAY THE 4TH!  So you get some Rey fan art on a Wednesday instead.  I know, I know...cheeky.  There is a surprising amount of fan art dedicated to this character that's only really been around for less than six months.  She's made a huge impact on the franchise and I cannot wait to see where the story's gonna take her!  Do you think she's going to be a force for good, like Luke?  Maybe she'll be like Anakin, though...who knows?!  Ah, I love that we're in a new Star Wars age.
