I've included actors from pilot projects that were never picked up and actors who were set to play live-action characters and had promotional photos taken, even if they never ended up getting any screen time.  :) ▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝ ▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝▝ ▝▝▝▝▝ ▝▝▝▝▝ ▝▝

✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ Albert Einstein:  "If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales." Fairy tales, literary nonsense, tall tales...whatever you want to call them.  I'm a sucker for a wonderfully told, beautifully presented one.  Especially when they come in live-action form.  There's something... magical  when it's done right.  Some of these are taken right from the pages of a book, some are new takes on old tales.  If you get surprised by a title, stop and think about it for a second.  It'll make sense. :) Did I miss your favorite adaptation?  Tell me in the comments below! ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦ ♜ ✦

So, I know there aren't an abundance of people that actively read this blog...according what I look at, there's about six of you.  I thought I would be polite and let you know that I'm going on a kind of hiatus. It's one of those "life is happening" things where I've just got other things going on on top of that other thing I do every day where I clock in and someone decides I get a paycheck.  Yes, yes..my job. It's busy everywhere I go right now and I just don't have the extra time to create posts that are fun to read (because they should always be fun to read!) This isn't a farewell, either.  I don't have many people in my life that share my sense of humor or my taste in movies and TV shows.  I do need to share my thoughts...as silly as it seems.  And though I may not have time for watching a ton of movies right now, it's not like I'm giving that up anytime soon! I'll be back (you totally just said that in Arnie's...

The Bride of Frankenstein is so deeply rooted in pop culture.  She is instantly recognizable and apparently a lot of fun to draw.  Whether or not you've actually seen the 1935 movie that spawned all of this, I'm sure you can appreciate these unique and truly inspired pieces of art that are the result. Here's to the ultimate living dead girl. Bride by Danusko

Did you grow up watching Elvira's Movie Macabre  (1981)?  The "re-vamp" done in 2010 ( Movie Macabre )?  What about that horror-comedy she was in: Mistress of the Dark ?  You either know exactly who I'm talking about or you're in a generation deprived of this type of tv gimmick.  It made watching really bad horror movies fun, though.   If you love film like I do, it's one of the things you need: to see past all of the mediocre special effects and enjoy the story-even if you're just laughing the whole time.  Elvira went out of her way to make it a fun experience and those who can appreciate that love her for it.  So, enjoy these fan depictions of the ultimate gothic valley girl.
