If so, read this series! This thing was more satisfying and enthrallling than it had any right to be. That goes for this book and the story as a whole. The character the whole story revolves around is for the most part unlikeable. She's brave and intense and self-sacrificing, but she's a terrible person, too. I freaking love that. On top of all that, she's young and naive and thinks about all of her problems like some really long game of chess that she refuses to lose. She's not a Disney princess, y'all. And the assortment of characters we pick up along the way? MAN. Each of them is so unique and some you instantly feel prote...

The evil queen was the first nemesis a for a lot of girls.  We grew up watching that jealous stepmother terrorize Snow White until she was forced to run away.  If you look at it another way, though, she's the only strong chick in the film.  Sure, she's out of her mind, but she's confident about it.  Snow's pretty much never confident and always relying on others.  Queen Grimhilde, though, she knows exactly what it is she wants and she doesn't even worry that she might not get it.  We all know how that all ends up, but, honestly, which one did you actually identify with?
