I can't believe I haven't done a Doctor Who fan art appreciation yet!  What is wrong with me??  Everyone has their favorite Doctor, right?  Mine's the Tenth Doctor.  Twelve is really giving him a run for his money, but Ten still holds that special place.  Doctor Who is one of those things...you either know about this whole subculture, or you've never had the opportunity to be enraptured by it.  Whovians, man.  They're good people. The evil queen was the first nemesis a for a lot of girls.  We grew up watching that jealous stepmother terrorize Snow White until she was forced to run away.  If you look at it another way, though, she's the only strong chick in the film.  Sure, she's out of her mind, but she's confident about it.  Snow's pretty much never confident and always relying on others.  Queen Grimhilde, though, she knows exactly what it is she wants and she doesn't even worry that she might not get it.  We all know how that all ends up, but, honestly, which one did you actually identify with? ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ You probably recognize Neal McDonough as either a corrupt bad guy or law enforcement.  Every now and then he'll do a straight-up 'good-guy' role and he does excellent voice work for some animation I bet you're not aware of!  Did I mention that he can do comedy, too?  The fact that he has such a broad range when it comes to character-acting means that when you see him pop up, even if it's for a minute, he's going to leave an impression.  He's one of those actors that, if I'm around people, I'll start slapping them on the arm whispering "That's Neal McDonough!!" and listing things they've seen that he's in.  It's okay to be excited about people, okay? ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕ ◩ ◪ ⬔ ⬕

The latest (second) season of Daredevil on Netflix kind of overshadowed the show's namesake.  Or at least, that's what everyone keeps telling me.  It still read as a Devil of Hell's Kitchen story to me.  In any case, I thought we'd bring the spotlight firmly to him this week.  So as we don't all forget his badass-ness and such.  So, here's some blind lawyer art...kind of: Daredevil by erlanarya

This is a list of X-Men (and other mutants) that started out in the comics but have now been represented in live-action form in movies or on TV.  I think you'll truly be surprised how many there are.  (I'm winking now) I will update this list as often as they let me see a new X-Men movie or show!  As per usual, if you can think of any others, let me know in the comments section!

Have you caught up on Netflix's Daredevil ?  Did you like their version of Elektra? It was very difficult it was to find non-comic covers that didn't primarily feature Elektra's ass and/or nipples.  Don't get me wrong, she's got the goods, but she's also a crazy ninja assassin, so I kind of wanted to feature that instead of just how revealing her costume is.  With the exception of 2 or 3 really well-done compositions, I think the mission was accomplished! Daenerys Targaryen is one of the main characters on Game of Thrones or in the book series, A Song of Ica and Fire .  She's one of those truly layered, full-circle characters.  Is this why people love her so much?  I can tell you why I do.  She starts off as nothing but a bargaining chip for advancing the power of men and evolves into this badass warrior queen.  That whole journey aside, she's constantly learning and adapting and isn't that the type of character you naturally root for?  She falls damn-near constantly but absolutely refuses to bow down or give up.  So call her what you want: Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Stormborn or The Queen Across the Sea.  She's every single one of them.  Oh, yeah... she also has her own dragons .
